Christmas in July
My Dad, nearing retirement, and with a little more time on his hands, sent me this fascinating article this morning. Fascinating for all the wrong reasons. I'm quite disturbed by not only the absurdly crass marketing methods of this chain store but also (and perhaps even more so) the toys themselves that these people think are suitable for small kids. It's a worry. Please read it and make your own decision.

To counter all this plastic holiday garb from the link, I wanted to drop you a line and let you know you turned me on to Anorak magazine last year. Thank you. I ordered a few back issues as xmas presents for my boy. He loved them and picks them up from time to time to rediscover them. He's nine and an avid reader.
